Shuttles
In order to manage vehicle traffic on the terminal roadway, BWI Marshall Airport has created specific pick-up zones for hotel shuttles and off-airport parking shuttles. Hotel and off-airport parking shuttles will pick up passengers at the designated zones only. Private vehicles are restricted from these off-airport pick-up zones.
Zones 1 and 3 are assigned for hotel shuttles. Zone 2 is designated for off-airport parking shuttles. Zone 4 will be used by both hotels and off-airport parking companies. Click here to view a map of these zone locations for off-airport hotel and parking shuttles.
Taxicabs
The taxi stands are located just outside of the baggage claim area on the Arrivals/Lower Level of the BWI Marshall Airport terminal near Doors 5 and 13. Please note that this service is available only for rides originating at BWI Marshall Airport.

Ride Sharing
App-based ride services pick up and drop off passengers along the outer curb of the Departures/Upper Level between Doors #5-12. Crosswalks leading to the outer curb are located near Doors 5, 8 and 12.

Where to find a Taxi
- A DCA Taxi Dispatcher is available at designated taxi stands to ensure you are placed with a taxi.
- From Terminal 1, proceed out the exit doors at baggage claim and turn right. The taxis are located on the curb closest to the Terminal.
- From Terminal 2, proceed to the baggage claim lower level (level one). Walk indoors to Doors 5 or 6 then proceed outside to the terminal curbside. You will find the taxi dispatch location clearly marked.
What to Expect:
- Taxi Operator Permit and license displayed prominently.
- Schedule of Rates issued by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Commission.
- No smoking in vehicle.
- Clean vehicle and in good repair.
- Be provided a receipt once payment is received.

- All taxicabs accept cash or credit card.
- All taxicabs dispatched at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport must have and use taxi meters.

Wheelchair-Accessible Taxis
Uniformed taxicab dispatchers are available to help passengers with any questions and to assist passengers with disabilities in selecting a wheelchair accessible taxicab. If a wheelchair accessible taxicab is not available within the dispatch system, an accessible taxicab will be requested. Passengers with disabilities are encouraged to contact the taxicab dispatch office 24 hours in advance at 703-417-4333 to make pre-arrangements to ensure these services are available when needed.
Ride Sharing
Uber, Lyft, and ALTO offer transportation services to passengers arriving to and departing from Reagan National Airport. For rides departing Reagan National customers should use their smartphone to select the appropriate pick zone, and coordinate directly with their driver. Green flags located outside on the outer terminal curb designate the appropriate pick-up loading zones.
- Terminal 1: Customers can meet their ride on the third (outer) curb.
- Terminal 2: Customers can meet their ride on the Baggage Claim (Arrivals) Level -1st Floor on the outer curb.

- Rental Car Center: Customers can meet their ride at the designated pick-up and drop-off location across from the Rental Car Shuttle Bus shelter located on National Avenue.

Getting Around
Charm City Circulator
A free bus service with four routes that go north-south and east-west to many attractions and hotels. Take the Banner Route to get from the Inner Harbor to Fort McHenry. Take the Purple Route north to the Baltimore Museum of Art. The circulator runs every 15-20 minutes seven days a week. Check out the circulator website for hours and more information.
