Call for Reviewers

ABCT Invites You to Serve on the 2026 Convention Program Committee

ABCT is thrilled to invite you to contribute your expertise as a reviewer for the 60th Annual Convention Program, scheduled for November 12-15, 2026. This year’s Convention theme is “Integrating Compassion and Science: Empowering Our Community to Engage in Evidence-Based Collective Action” and will showcase advances in research, practice, and education that integrate compassion and cognitive-behavioral science. Additionally, we will emphasize bringing our community together to engage in evidence-based collective action, whether that be advocacy, innovative research, or cutting-edge clinical practice. Your critical eye and wealth of experience will play a pivotal role in curating a convention of high quality and diversity, and one that will leave a lasting impact on the field of behavioral and cognitive therapies.

Program Committee membership involves review of multiple submissions (between 10 and 20 abstracts) within your indicated categories of expertise. The abstract submission deadline is set for March 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST, and the review timeline is tight and fixed. Reviews of abstract submissions must be completed between March 23 and April 10, 2026.

If you are willing to review submissions outside of your areas of expertise, these “super” reviews must be completed between April 13 and April 17, 2026.

We will also provide a way for students and trainees to serve as co-reviewers, along with you as a mentor. If you wish to involve students/trainees in the review process, please select this option in the survey (link above). Instructions for student/trainee co-review will be emailed separately to those expressing an interest.

We greatly appreciate your completing a very brief (~1-minute) online survey (link above) to indicate your willingness to serve as a peer reviewer and select your categories of expertise. If you wish to serve on the committee, please complete the above survey by the end of February.

Thanks so much for your continued support of ABCT and your contributions to the field! We very much look forward to working with you this year to make our 60th convention the best one yet.
