Now Open: 2026 ABCT Election Nominations

Submit by February 2, 2026

Are you interested in ABCT governance? We are looking for energetic, dedicated, and passionate ABCT members to run for the following two open-leadership positions:

  • ABCT President-Elect (2026-27)
    The ABCT president is the official spokesperson of ABCT and presides over the board of directors and all governance activities. The President-Elect serve for one year prior to taking office as President.
  • Representative-at-Large (2026–29)
    Liaison to Membership Programs. Board Liaison in charge of supporting and overseeing the work of several committees under the membership programs portfolio.

Please Note:

  1. Full and Fellow members may nominate, vote, and hold office. New Professionals, Students, Postbaccalaureate, and Associate members may nominate and vote, but may not hold office.
  2. Any Full or Fellow members of the Association in good standing shall be eligible for nomination and election to any elective office.
  3. Our current election system requires each nominee to have at least 10 nominations from current ABCT members, with those nominees with the top 3 nominations making it to the final slate for each elected office.   4. If a nomination is submitted by someone other than the candidate, nominee must consent to be nominated
  5. No candidates may be considered for two positions at the same time

General Timeline

  • Monday, November 3rd, 2025 — Nomination period opens
  • Monday, February 2nd, 2026 — Nomination period closes
  • Wednesday, April 1st, 2026 — Voting portal opens
  • Thursday, April 30th, 2026 — Voting portal closes
  • Friday, May 15th, 2026 — Winners announced to membership
