Committee Purpose
Th DICEC is responsible for identifying goals and considering how best to coordinate activities, people, and resources to promote dissemination, implementation, and engagement. We take these actions to advance ABCT’s mission as a “multidisciplinary” organization promoting the “global application” of evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
Responsibilities of the committee are broadly defined as promoting ABCT activities that (1) foster an inclusive environment for engagement with diverse communities, industries, and professional backgrounds to collaborate in the service of ABCT’s mission, and (2) foster members’ collective expertise in dissemination and implementation, scaling, technology, global health, public health, and other topics relevant to the social impact of cognitive behavioral science.
These activities include coordinating and executing ABCT’s Champions Program to recognize community partners who further ABCT’s mission. In addition to developing standalone initiatives or activities, this committee will necessarily interact in an advisory capacity with the Board of Directors, Special Interest Groups, and many of the committees responsible for ABCT functions, including awards and recognition, convention (e.g., program, local arrangements), continuing education, and membership.
