Committee Purpose

The International Associates Committee works with the ABCT Board of Directors, CEO and central office staff in building, maintaining, and supporting global relations and initiatives with international professionals. The International Associates Committee identifies new international associates, maintains communication with international associates, and serves as an ABCT ambassador by hosting IAs at the ABCT convention. Additionally, the IAC also recognizes international associates through initiatives such as the Global Thought Leader program. Given ABCT’s role as a founding member of the WCCBT, the IAC also supports and ensures ABCT’s support for the mission, goals, and objectives, and of the World Confederation of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (WCCBT), which includes fulfilling its WCCBT role requirements and supporting WCCBT initiatives on an ongoing basis.
