New Professional Membership
What is New Professional Membership at ABCT?
New Professional Membership is available in three tiers. Your tier directly correlates to the year you receive your terminal graduate degree.

New Professional 1
Open to those who obtained, or will obtain, a terminal graduate degree between November 1, 2024 and October 31, 2025. This includes postdoctoral trainees who earned their degree during this time. A copy of your diploma or a letter from your advisor confirming your recent graduation must be included. You will have the opportunity to upload it on the application.
New Professional 2
Open to those who obtained a terminal graduate degree between November 1, 2023 and October 31, 2024. This includes postdoctoral trainees who earned their degree during this time. A copy of your diploma or a letter from your advisor confirming your recent graduation must be included. You will have the opportunity to upload it on the application.
New Professional 3
Open to those who obtained a terminal graduate degree between November 1, 2022 and October 31, 2023. This includes postdoctoral trainees who earned their degree during this time. A copy of your diploma or a letter from your advisor confirming your recent graduation must be included. You will have the opportunity to upload it on the application.
How Much is New Professional Membership?
New Professional Membership is priced based on tier. You may only belong to one tier per membership year. Upon the next year, you must move on to the next year, with New Professional 3 presumably moving on to Full Membership. Prices listed are for the upcoming ABCT Membership Year (November 1st, 2025–October 31st, 2026).
- New Professional 1: $100
- New Professional 2: $160
- New Professional 3: $215
When Can I Apply or Renew for the Upcoming ABCT Membership Year?
The application/renewal process for our 2025–2026 Membership Year begins July 14th, 2025. You must be registered for the 2025–2026 Membership Year to receive the member discount when registering for the 2025 Convention (Convention registration opens July 21st).
