Clinical Interests
Dr. Bloomquist provides psychological evaluations, therapy, and program consultation at PrairieCare Medical Group through a University of Minnesota Physicians contract. He specializes in parent and family skills training (a.k.a. behavioral family therapy) for youth with behavior-emotional problems. As an author/co-author of several books, Dr. Bloomquist has written about effective intervention methods and evidence-based practice.

Research Interests
Dr. Bloomquist has many years of research experience. He is a co-author of peer-reviewed journal articles on the effects of prevention programs with at-risk youth and descriptive childhood psychopathology. He is currently a co-investigator or a principal investigator on several studies examining the effects of comprehensive community-based prevention programs.

Teaching
Dr. Bloomquist teaches undergraduate/graduate courses about Aggression/Conduct Problems in Youth, Child Abuse/Neglect, and Psychotherapy with Children/Adolescents. He also trains and supervises psychology interns, psychology post-doctoral fellows, and intervention staff.
